Sinai and Northwest Hospitals Ranked Among U.S. News & World Report's "America's Best Hospitals"

People in the northwest Baltimore community and around the world have known that Sinai and Northwest hospitals deliver cutting-edge care with a compassionate touch, and U.S. News & World Report keukenwerkbladen has ranked these LifeBridge Health facilities as two of America s Best Hospitals. This annual report, now in its 24 th year, recognizes hospitals that excel in treating patients across a spectrum of 16 adult specialties.
Northwest Hospital received special accolades for its exemplary geriatric care. It was ranked 21 st in the state of Maryland and 16 th in the Baltimore metro area. A hospital that emerges from our analysis as one of the best has much to be proud of, says Avery Comarow, U.S. News Health Rankings editor. Only about 15 percent of hospitals are recognized for their high performance as among their region s best. Just 3 percent of all hospitals earn a national ranking keukenwerkbladen in any specialty.
Sinai Hospital, keukenwerkbladen which ranked 6th in the state and in the Baltimore metro area, was acknowledged as a leader in cancer care; cardiology and heart surgery; ear, nose and throat care; gastroenterology and GI surgery; geriatrics; gynecology; nephrology; neurology and neurosurgery; orthopedics; pulmonogy and urology.
The U.S. News & World Report best hospitals list is a guiding light for patients who feel in the dark about where they ll receive the most commendable care whether they re facing a complex surgery or a life-altering condition.
The rankings have been published at http://health.usnews.com/best-hospitals and will appear in print in the U.S. News Best Hospitals 2014 guidebook, available in bookstores and on newsstands August 27.
