At Last! Finally someone (or rather something) played e4 first time as whites. This had not happened only once in the last world championship in Elista. This was not yet happened in this match between Vladimir Kramnik and Deep Fritz software. Today, programmers have opted for an open part. They were probably expecting two replicas from the human player either his favorite Berlin defense, which helped him win the supreme title against Garry Kasparov in 2000, the Russian defense. The second hypothesis was correct. We soon realized that the world champion would not win this game, Deep Fritz seemed as applied to not let her initiative. But on the other hand, the defensive talent Kramnik again wonders. After the disaster cloudy hot water of the second part, the giant of Tuapse seems reassured. As he showed today, he is able to cancel almost whenever he wants. Deep Fritz had more space throughout the game but never managed to build a real advantage. In the final, Kramnik cleverly achieved a blockade situation, merely moving his king two squares and preventing his opponent from seeping into position. Rather ridiculous way, which is reminiscent of the little experience I have devoted myself to the end of the third part (see previous note), the machine continued to play, not perceiving it could no longer cloudy hot water move. We even have thought at one time that Kramnik would try to crash the machine time ... But zero was reached at the 54th shot, two shots before the time control, cloudy hot water which would have added an hour the clock of each. A more complete analysis of the game will be offered tomorrow. Deep Fritz leads by 2.5 points to 1.5, and Sunday for the penultimate confrontation, the world champion will whites. It is hoped a burst of pride on his part.
At first it was in the sphere of tablebases 5 or 6 rooms and a gain was still possible in the final (provided that the Black King fault in losing the Opposition), that is why Deep Fritz continued to play. Obviously Kramnik is especially hooked with its zero throughout the part. Against a Deep Blue supercomputer type or Hydra, he would likely have encountered more difficulties thorny, given the dynamics cloudy hot water of the game of whites. 12/01/2006 10:17 PM
Fritz is not particularly known for his positional play, unlike other programs like Rybka, Shredder or Hiarcs. Moreover, we note that Kramnik did not specifically cloudy hot water search for positional phases but rather annulantes simplifications. It is a choice, but it does not dominate not much. This strategy was chosen by Adams against Hydra, but it was facing a huge supercomputer (Score: 0.5-5.5). 12/02/2006 24:01 AM
